  1. Patient
    • Are there doctors in my area? Currently RPRN has physicians in most metropolitan areas in the country. RPRN is adding member physicians daily.
    • Can I add my physician to your network? Yes, we welcome patient physician referrals. Note, physicians added are not active until credentialed (approximately 1 - 4 days) by RPRN staff.
    • Is my information confidential? RPRN only shares your information with your selected member physician and member pharmacy (only when medication order placed).
    • What happens after my consultation with your network physician? It is recorded in our secured database, if you have established a relationship with one of our member pharmacies a notification is sent to the pharmacy acknowledging your doctor visit. If no relationship is established with a member pharmacy, no notification is sent. NOTE: no medical information is kept on the RPRN website; we only record your physician visit and whether or not it resulted in a prescription being written.
    • I've never ordered medications mail-order; if I join your network can you refer me to a mail order pharmacy? Yes, we have quite a few member pharmacies that can fill your order for prescription meds. See our pharmacy links page. All of our pharmacies are U.S. based companies, licensed by the DEA and appropriate state authorities.
    • Why should I join RPRN if there are no physicians in my area? Under the current regulatory environment many mail order pharmacies are reluctant, and some out right refuse to accept prescriptions from physicians that are not previously credentialed. Our agreements with our affiliated pharmacies ensure all prescriptions from RPRN physicians are U.S. based, DEA licensed as well as State licensed practitioners. In addition you can still recieve competent medical advise/treatment from a physician in your state whether they are in your immediate area or not.
    • Why should I join RPRN?Member benefits include, access to our on-line network of physicians. Access to your physician. Access to your electronic health information (allergies, current medications, recent procedures and test, etc.) (note) Our network physicians are not meant to replace your doctor. We are only another source for medical care.
    • What is the cost of RPRN membership? USD $39.95 annually. There are no recurring monthly fees. Your membership will automatically renew unless notification is received.
    • What do you get for that membership fee? Referral to a licensed physician and/or on-line access to your personal physician in your area and if requested, referral to one of our affiliated mail-order pharmacies. RPRN membership also serves as verification to pharmacies of legitimate doctor/patient relationship.
    • Is there a cost for the physician consultation? Yes, patients will pay provider (physician) at a RPRN negotiated rate of USD $45.00 per tele-video consultation/encounter. A office visit for health assessment services is at a negotiated rate of USD $85.00. All other associated costs pertaining to the exam is the responsibility of the patient (ie. labs, xrays).
    • Do our physicians refer to other doctors or facilities?Yes. During the consult our physicians may recommend that you seek further care. Because limited information can be obtained during a televideo consult further medical care up to and including a face-to-face encounter may be required.
    • Do members have to pay if a face-to-face is required?Yes. In a case where patients are seen in office and a referral is made to a specialist, the primary care provider as well as the specialist is pad.

    • How long does the physician credentialing process take? Part of it depends on how fast the physician forwards the required documentation to RPRN. On average it should take no longer than 2-3 days.
    • How am I notified that a patient has selected me for a televideo conference or face-to-face consultation? When a patient selects a physician, an examination PDF is e-mailed to the patient and the physician. Click here to view an example. It is recommended that a physician check their e-mail account(s) periodically for RPRN patient examination requests. Based on your hours of availability patients will be allowed to selecte you from a list of providers. Once logged in you will be able to view patients under 'Pending Exams".
    • What's required when I see a RPRN referred patient? That a chart be established on the patient, a physical examination/televideo interview is conducted at least annually to include review of patient medical history, and if your clinical opinion warrants, a prescription written for medication(s). Once a patient has been examined/interviewed, you must acknowledge the encounter via the physician page on the RPRN website. Also, if a prescription is written for medications, the patients who are approved for prescriptions receive these medications directly from an RPRN affiliate or an independent pharmacy of their choice. The prescription is forwarded by the RPRN physician to a RPRN affiliated pharmacy or a pharmacy selected by the patient.
    • What's required when I see a RPRN patient via tele-video? Physicians evaluate member's complaint. A review of the member's electronic health information is used during the consult. Patients will be equipped with a headset and camera to allow physicians to verify member identification. Physicians will be able to make a diagnosis based on dialogue exchanged and develop a treatment plan. Treatment plans may sometime result in a recommendation that the member go to an emergency department, urgent care center or their family doctor for more specific testing and evaluation.
    • What if additional testing and referrals are recommended once I examine a patient? This should be handled as your current referrals & labs are. All additional cost outside of the agreed upon annual physical exam/televideo encounter is the responsibility of the patient.
    • How do I acknowledge a patient consult exam? By logging into the physician's section of the RPRN website, click the Manage Patient Exams icon and select the desired patient, then update the appropriate fields.
    • What happens when I acknowledge the patient exam? If the examination results in a prescription being written, a notification will be sent to the patient's pharmacy advising them of the completion of patient examination.
    • Once established, where does the patient chart reside? The patient's chart should be kept in the attending physician's office.
    • When a patient is referred to a physician, how quickly does the consult have to take place? RPRN ask that all examinations/televideo encounteres be completed within 2 hours of the request and no longer than 3 business days of their origination.
    • Can I refer my patients to RPRN to receive cost saving medications via mail? RPRN welcomes physician patient referrals to network.
    • Are the RPRN affiliated pharmacies that refer patients? Licensed US businesses? Yes, all pharmacies that are affiliated with the RPRN network are US businesses located within the continental US, licensed by all appropriate Federal, State and local governments. In addition, all RPRN pharmacies are credentialed by RPRN staff as condition of network membership.
    • Can I contact the patient's referring pharmacy? When required, RPRN encourages dialog between the attending physician and the patient's pharmacy. Patient pharmacy contact information will be provided on the patient exam acknowledgement page.
    • Do I have to see a patient to write a prescription? Again, the patient must be seen by you bi-annually as part of the patient and physician agreement. If a request for a medication refill is made by a patient that you have already conducted a physical exam on, the decision is up to the physician as to whether or not the refill request requires a face-to-face consultation or can be acknowledged without one.
    • How can I see which patients have been referred to me? By browsing your queue in the physician's section of the site. You also will get an e-mail notification when a patient has been referred to you.
